Green Schools

Update 16th March

  • All classes have been busy planting strawberries, potatoes, sunflowers and other fruits and vegetables.
  • We look forward to watching them grow over the next few months.
  • We are keeping them in the polytunnel for the next few weeks so the frost won’t get at them!!
  • We look forward to planting them out in our raised beds when they are ready.

Going forward….

  1. Save the Bees run by Supervalu, if you shop in Supervalu please ask for the Save the Bees  cards. These cards will enter us into a competition. The programme will help the children to learn about pollination and the importance of pollinators.
  2. We hope to create a Green Schools Themed mural using plastic bottle tops as part of the recycling theme. This will only happen if we can collect enough bottle tops. Please start to collect bottle tops and send them in.
  3. We will also be collecting old newspapers for another project so we would be grateful if you could gather some and send in also.
