Wellbeing Week April 4th – 8th 2022

Our Wellbeing week ran from April 4th – 8th.  This was a fun, active and enjoyable week for all our pupils and staff.  The theme for the week was Gratitude.  A key part of this week was welcoming the children that had arrived from Ukraine into our school community. 

Daily activities during the week were

  • Bubbles/Chalk on Yard 1 and Music on Yard 2 at break times
  • Eating a different coloured piece of Fruit or Vegetable for lunch each day  

The programme for the week included

Mindful Monday  

  • Read Bressie’s Book ‘Take Five’ and completed the activity with it
  • Read and discussed the story ‘Have You Filled a Bucket Today?
  • Participated in a Mindful Walk/Created Cartoon Pictures that represents being Mind full and Mindful!

Thankful Tuesday  

  • Breakfast Club
  • Created our School Gratitude Tree 

Walk on Wednesday  

  • All classes participated in a Mindful Walk, Mindful Safari or Rainbow Walk
  • Yoga Classes

Thankful Thursday  

  • Yoga Classes
  • Football

Fitness Friday  

  • Yoga and Fitness Classes
  • Football

 

Our Wellbeing week was led and put together by our 6th class teacher, Ms Rahill.  Thank you to all those who support the week:
